On the road to the finals, J.A.F.H.T. had earned a hard fought victory over Aches & Pains by the close score of 4-3 as Pat Pirone’s goal, off a scramble in front with five minutes to play, was the game winner. It wasn’t so much that J.A.F.H.T. had outplayed Aches & Pains, it was simply that J.A.F.H.T. worked just a little bit harder to get themselves in position around the net (sometimes with defenders draped all over them) to find a way to score a goal.
In the other semi-final playoff game, A Few Good Men soundly defeated Dead Men Walking by the convincing score of 5-1 as Nick Romano played like a man possessed in scoring a hat trick and A Few Good Men completely isolated and shut down Matty Iannello to earn their spot in the finals.
