| Over-30 League jersey #16 to be offically retired |
For Immediate Release
Over -30 Hockey League announces that jersey #16 to be officially retired.
Saugus MA – January 16, 2012; League Director Bill Abcunas announced that effective in September 2012, jersey #16 will become the first-ever Over-30 jersey to be retired from league play.., never to be worn by another player.
The announcement was a special tribute to Doug Sedille who unexpectedly was forced to retire during the winter 2011 season due to physical restrictions. Doug becomes the first player in Over-30 league history to have his number retired.
Forever enshrined in his place in league history as one of the top 3 players EVER to play in the Over-30 league, Doug will always be known as the Over-30 league's most complete player who could dominate the competition, whether he played wing, center or defense. From a stamina perspective, Doug was unmatched in his endurance level, competing with the same energy level as when he started the game.
The Over-30 league is proud to bestow this deserving honor on Doug Sedille.

For Immediate Release
Over -30 Hockey League Appoints New "Special Advisor to the League Director"
Saugus MA – October 16th, 2010; Over-30 Hockey League Director Bill Abcunas announced today that Michael Naczas has been appointed to the role of the new “Special Advisor to the League Director". In his new position he will be responsible for being a “pain in the ass” to the Webmaster while ensuring weekly updates are completed and posted in a timely manner. League Director Bill Abcunas reached out to Michael after a week no updates to the website, and wanted to ensure the leagues website does not revert back to the “Pic Days.”
“The Leagues Website has come a long way since those monthly update days back in Revere and Tewksbury.” explains League Director Bill Abcunas. “It’s apparent that I have become nothing more than just a figure-head and name for the league, thus I needed to add another layer in our organization to help relieve me of my weekly duties, so I can just focus on watching the games.”
Already familiar with supervisory experience, Mr Naczas is the Northeast Regional Manager for A.M.S. and drives a Lexus. “I look forward to taking on new roles and challenges within the Over-30 League, and the benefit package of added unearned assists to my stats will be something I will indulge heavily in”
